I also made sure to snap a group photo here. The butterfly rings were so perfect for atop the mushrooms. (I was inspired by the mushrooms here, but found the PVC pipe to be WAY more affordable than the fabric and batting style she did.) We attached the liners to the pipes with hot glue and then wedged them in the grass. We spray painted the liners red and added white felt circles with hot glue. The mushrooms were made from PVC pipe and cocoa plant liners. This was my favorite spot on the Fairy Party Treasure Hunt (and the favorite spot for a few brothers to hide so they could scare their fairy sisters). Oh where are you butterflies, are you here, are you there? ![]() You might find it resting on a little buttercup What’s next on our list? Well, it flutters like us Some fake flowers worked great for the decor at this spot, especially since we can’t grow flowers in our shady backyard!Ĭlue #3: Butterfly Rings in the Enchanted Meadow I bought a bag at The Dollar Store and scattered the “dewdrops” on the ground. I don’t know what it is about little kids and small floral rocks, but they love them. Now where would a drop-of-dew hide, do you think? It comes in the morning to give flowers a drink It’s tiny and clear and sometimes goes plop The next thing we’ll find looks like a drop I bought some foam at The Dollar Store and stuck the butterfly wands (also from The Dollar Store) in the foam. So let’s fly and let’s look until all wands are found It sparkles and shimmers when we wave it around The first thing to find is shaped like a stick After removing the skirts, we hot glued flowers on them.Īunt Angie read the Fairy Party Treasure Hunt clues, while I helped guide and take photos. These were the baskets I bought at Target 90% off and then used the skirts for the girls and decorations around the deck. This was the first activity after the girls got their fairy wings.Įach girl received a basket to use for the hunt. Very affordable (can’t beat cardboard and sticks from your yard!) and woodland-like. I then adhered fairies (from this garland). For some spots, I made signs using brown cardboard and glued sticks to the edges. I think treasure hunts are my favorite things to do at birthday parties (remember the pirate one from a few years ago?) Adeline’s Fairy Party Treasure Hunt turned out wonderfully!įor the fairy party, we went on an adventure through the “enchanted forest” (our yard) to find things fairy love. ![]()
